ABOUT ME
I am passionate about my work offering mental health support for children and young adults who struggle to communicate their problems with traditional types of therapy. I tailor my experience to ensure my clients feel listened to and heard in a non-judgemental way, working closely with schools and families to provide a collaborative intervention.

My original career was as an Intensive Care Nurse, specialising in Brain Trauma. I achieved a 1st Class Honours Degree in Nursing and a Degree in Neuroscience.

A lifelong interest in child psychology led me to study for and achieve a Masters Degree in Play Therapy from Roehampton University. I have a Level 4 Diploma in Child Development and Art Therapy.
My work has allowed me the opportunity to work with children and adolescents with social communication difficulties, learning needs, experiencing bereavement/loss, anxiety, ASD, PDA, adoption, behavioural issues, attachment difficulties and developmental trauma.

I believe strongly in a holistic approach to the child and work collaboratively with families and schools. I am a practitioner in Child- Parent Relationship Therapy (CPRT) and Filial Therapy to help parents and carers be therapeutic agents in their children's lives.

I provide family support groups and parenting consultations utilising informed Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP) and have experience using Theraplay activities.

I am a registered member of the British Association of Play Therapists (BAPT), an accredited organisation by the Professional Standards Authority and a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
